Making and En(clothe)d Facilitation

 
 
 

My practice as a Creative Facilitator has evolved from my career as a socially engaged artist. For 15 years, I have developed making and enclothed methods of Facilitation that can hold space for diverse human experiences, address power dynamics in group work and broker collaborations between different disciplines. I have facilitated collaborations across design and medical communities (sKINship) to inform pattern cutting and footwear innovation. I have also explored approaches to shared decision-making between cancer patients and clinicians. Most recently, my PhD has mapped the ecologies of my own and other creative facilitation practices applied in healthcare, to understand how they work and what they do, in contexts of women’s intimate health, life-limiting illness (breast cancer, HIV/Aids), anatomical dissection and youth suicide.
